Montenegro started selling surplus electricity and earned EUR 3.01 million, announced the President of the Board of Directors of the Electric Industry (EPCG), Milutin Đukanović.
He stated on his Twitter account that the state power company is increasing exports.
– EPCG withstood all pressures – energy crisis, enormous prices on the stock market, bad hydrology and baseless attacks of old power structures. Now we can proudly say that we will remain stable and be the locomotive of the development of Montenegro, without increasing the price of active energy for households – said Đukanović.
As he stated, the bills were the same for months, and three days before the event, EPCG started selling surplus electricity and earned more than EUR 3 million.
– As we announced that our time for exporting from Montenegro and making money will come, it is my pleasure to inform all citizens of Montenegro about the beginning of that process. We owe the citizens a huge thank you for their support, patience and willingness to recognize the importance of the campaign. We are saving, EPCG is working – Đukanović concluded, local media writes.
