Tourism officials from Romania discovered the beauties of Montenegro

The National Tourism Organization (NTO) organized a study visit of tourism officials and media from Romania, who said that the diverse tourist offer of Montenegro is attractive for Romanian tourists.

“It is about the visit of several representatives of tour operators, travel agencies, the Research Center for Innovations in Tourism and the media, which aims to start the promotion aimed at the Romanian market”, according to the announcement of the NTO.

During their stay, which lasts from Saturday to tomorrow, they have the opportunity to discover the beauties of the Budva, Bar and Ulcinj riviera, as well as the Bay of Kotor. They also enjoyed a cruise on the largest lake in the Balkans, Lake Skadar.

The representative of the company Regional Air Support, which has many years of experience in representing airlines in Romania, Grigoroi Radu Sorin, is particularly fascinated by the rich history and the influence of various cultures, which, according to him, are particularly noticeable in Old part of Bar city.

“I am very happy and honored to be part of this group. This is one of the most pleasant surprises I’ve experienced lately because I didn’t know much about Montenegro. I am delighted with the diversity of the offer, the incredible combination of sea and magnificent mountains. In cooperation with tour operators, we will be happy to show our users how much Montenegro has to offer,” said Radu Sorin.

Cristina Badircea, in front of the tour operator Iri Travel, said that Montenegro can be a very attractive destination for tourists from Romania, and that she expects successful promotion of Montenegro in this market.

“This visit was wonderful, but also productive. We had the opportunity to see numerous resorts and hotels. We are impressed by the incredible old towns on the coast. The beaches, which are surrounded by mountains, are truly unique. You can be particularly interesting for those who like themed routes, and you have a huge potential for different types of tourism,” said Badircea.

She also emphasized family tourism because of the possibility of combining vacations on the beach and in the north of Montenegro.

In order to network our economy with the Romanian market, the NTO organized a business workshop on the fourth day of the study visit, where about 30 Montenegrin tourism entrepreneurs were present.

According to the representative of NTO’s strategic partner, Air Montenegro, Dejan Pižurica, the Montenegrin national airline has great expectations from this market.

“We are pleased that we were able to show tour operators and agencies from Romania some of the natural beauties of Montenegro. “We think that there are significant resources when it comes to flights from Romania to Montenegro, and that we can expect the first flights on the Romania-Montenegro route,” Pižurica said.

He stated that he believes that if these impressions of tour operators and agencies are conveyed in the right way to end users, they will be able to set up flights from Bucharest or another city in Romania.

“But, in any case, we will continue to work on the promotion of Montenegro and the connection of Montenegro and Romania,” said Pižurica.

From the Montenegro stars hotel group, they also have expectations from this market.

“The workshop organized by the NTO went well and we are glad that we had the opportunity to meet the Romanian tour operators. I believe that such workshops are particularly important because they give us the opportunity to make significant contacts. This market is not that well known to us, but we believe that we have the potential to attract a large number of tourists from Romania”, said the representative of HG Montenegro stars, Tijana Đurašević.

In addition to NTO, this study visit was also supported by local tourism organizations of Bar, Kotor and Budva, NTO’s strategic partner Air Montenegro, Blue Kotor Bay, Hotel Azul, HG Montenegro stars, MTS and National Parks of Montenegro.
