“During the fair, Montenegro’s attractive tourist offer attracted a large number of visitors who said they would be happy to visit our country,” the announcement states.

As reported, one fair visitor said that two years ago she visited Montenegro with her husband, that they drove around the entire coast and that she liked Perast the most.

“It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. This year I will come to Montenegro again because I really liked it, but this time I will visit the mountains and rivers that we didn’t get to see last time”, she said.

The NTO stated that the chargé d’affaires at the Embassy of Montenegro in Warsaw, Aleksandar Drljević and his colleague, also visited the stand, who said that the Poles are very interested in Montenegro.

“Poland is a country with almost 40 million inhabitants, and I think that should be used in the coming period. We have to be even more present on this market, because their interest is great both for summer and winter vacations”, said Drljević.

The national airline Air Montenegro, which is a strategic partner of NTO Montenegro and the Polish agency “Rego Bis”, assessed that the success of last year’s cooperation resulted in great interest in the Montenegrin market and the need for better air connections between the two countries.

Tanja Babović, in front of Air Montenegro, said that a large number of charter flights have been carried out, and an additional line is planned to be launched in addition to Katowice – to Žešov.

“Air Montenegro will fly to Katowice once a week starting from June 1, while it will fly to Žešov from June 15, also once a week. We hope that these two lines will contribute to even better attendance, but also to additional promotion of our country as a great vacation destination for tourists from Poland,” said Babović.

Ines Hodžić from the tourist agency “Gold Travel”, which is a strategic partner of NTO, pointed out that the chance for some new partnerships and cooperation is greater this year, because new charter lines are planned during the summer season.

According to her, this gives the “Gold Travel” agency more space and the opportunity to connect with new agencies and contacts.

The NTO said that during the fair, representatives of the National and local tourist organizations and the Montenegrin tourism industry held numerous meetings with the Polish tourism industry, as well as with their national airline company “LOT”.

It Is stated that NTO’s strategic partner – the Budva Riviera hotel group – traditionally participates in the tourism fair in Warsaw.

Marko Andrić from the Budva Riviera said that the number of arrivals from that important market is increasing year after year.

“Of course, the establishment of direct air lines as well as the promotion of the destination is a prerequisite for better positioning and our hotel offers. “We expect that “Ittf 2023” is a good opportunity to bring our offer closer through B2B meetings and business meetings and ultimately result in an increase in tourist traffic from the Polish market,” Andrić said.

The representative of the Tourist Organization (TO) of Budva, Dejan Kuljača, points out that the entire tourist offer of the Budva riviera, accommodation facilities, air connections, events, as well as the natural beauty of Budva and its hinterland is presented at the fair.

“According to the data at our disposal, tourists from Poland made almost 17 thousand arrivals and about 83 thousand overnight stays in Budva in the year after us. There is a noticeable constant increase in tourist traffic from this market, which is one of the strategically important markets for tourism in both Budva and the whole of Montenegro”, said Kuljača.

The acting director of TO Bar Nikoleta Nikčević said that there is great interest in the complete offer of the Bar.

According to her, in addition to passive vacations, tourists from Poland are also interested in other segments of the tourist offer, such as cultural assets, wineries, and hotels with 3 and 4 stars of smaller capacity.
The announcement states that the growth trend of tourists from the Polish market is expected to continue, bearing in mind the existing interest of Polish tour operators and that currently over 30 of them offer Montenegro in their travel programs.

It Is added that this is expected because the regular flights of the airlines “LOT Polish”, “WizzAir” and “Ryaniar” from Warsaw, Gdańsk, Krakow, Rzeszow, Poznań, Wroclaw and Katowice to Montenegro have been announced, as well as the following promotional activities of the NTO .
