The construction of the new five-star Hotel Galeb in Ulcinj could begin next year, and its commissioning can be expected in four years at the latest, announced the director of the Sunny Palace company from Kotor, Radoica Vuković.
He told the News that although they have taken over the obligation of the previous owner – the company RokÅ¡ped, to the state to invest more than 15 million euros, in the construction of the new hotel that figure will certainly be exceeded many times over.
Sunny Palace from Kotor bought an attractive plot of land above the Suka peninsula in Ulcinj from the Podgorica company Rokšped and undertook the construction of the new Galeb.
Vuković said that the hotel will operate within one of the well-known international hotel chains and that they are already talking to several of them, that the concept of the future hotel is currently being finalized and that the goal is for the hotel to be one of the largest five-star hotels in Montenegro. the coast.
“We all know, for example, how much Tivat gained with the construction of the Chedi Hotel and the Regent Hotel, how much Herceg Novi progressed with the construction of the One&Only Hotel, and how much Budva gained with the construction of the Splendid Hotel. With this project, we want to achieve the same success with Ulcinj”, said Vuković.
At the beginning of June, the government established a proposal for an investment agreement agreement between HTP Ulcinjska Riviera and Sunny Palace, according to which the Kotor company Sunny Palace will invest at least 15.39 million in the development of the hotel.
“The goal is to start building the hotel next year. We are satisfied that several major steps have been taken so far in order to realize that plan. First, our company took ownership of the location in August of this year, after previously paying the full market value of the land to the previous owner, RokÅ¡ped, said Vuković.
Then, as he stated, they hired international consultants and architectural bureaus, in order to develop the concept and strategy of the future hotel in the most efficient and high-quality way.
“The hotel will operate within one of the well-known international hotel chains. Communication on this issue has already been established with a number of hotel operators. As soon as we agree on all the elements of mutual cooperation, we will be able to continue with the creation of project documentation. In this way, as I mentioned, we expect construction to start next year”, concluded Vuković, local media reports.
