The airports of Montenegro are expecting their two millionth passenger

The airports of Montenegro are expecting two million passengers, which is an excellent result, announced the president of the company’s Board of Directors, Eldin Dobardžić.

He, commenting on the fact that low-budget companies canceled flights from Montenegro, said that he believes that this is a short-term interruption of the lines and that they will be re-established before the summer season.

As a country, we welcome the two millionth passenger on Friday. This is an excellent result when we take into account that three years ago we had a corona year”, said Dobardžić.

Dobardžić said that air traffic has developed significantly.

“Faster than we predicted in the previous period.” When we say two million, we have to take into account that it is two million at both our airports,” said Dobardžić.

He added that in the coming period they will try to organize meetings with representatives of low-cost airlines in order to establish whether there is a problem or whether it is a short-term interruption.

During the winter IATA season, which begins at the end of October and lasts until the end of March, low-cost companies will connect Podgorica Airport with a number of destinations.

“According to preliminary announcements, which are subject to change, Wizz Air and Ryanair will connect Podgorica with Milan, Berlin, London, Memmingham, Dortmund, Memmingham, Budapest, Krakow and GdaÅ„sk this winter,” said Dobardžić.
