Royal Blue Resort & Residences set to expand with two new luxury hotels following successful summer season

The summer season for Royal Blue Resort & Residences was exceptionally successful, as stated by sales director Jovana Srdić. With maximum occupancy and high demand, the resort is focusing on expanding its offerings. Srdić highlights two key strategic projects: the upcoming luxury hotels, Royal Collection in Kumbor and Royal Town in Kotor.

Construction of these properties is set to begin at the end of this year and the beginning of next, with both hotels promising an exclusive experience for guests seeking a luxurious getaway. Featuring sophisticated design and rich amenities, these projects mark a significant step in expanding luxury accommodation in Montenegro, with planned openings in 2026 and 2027.

Successful season

The summer season proved highly successful, especially considering it is only the resort’s second operational year. During peak months, occupancy reached 100%, exceeding expectations. Srdić noted that they disagree with claims of a weaker season this year.

“Thanks to our careful strategy and high service level, we welcomed many domestic and international guests, making us very satisfied with both interest and business results. This success motivates us to set even more ambitious goals for the next season and enhance our offerings,” said Srdić, emphasizing that the resort attracts guests seeking luxury, tranquility and elegance.

“Our offerings are especially tailored for couples and business travelers looking to unwind in an intimate atmosphere, enjoying stunning views of Tivat Bay. Our resort provides a perfect retreat for escaping the everyday grind, allowing guests to fully indulge in relaxation. Whether they choose to unwind by the pool or enjoy a top-notch culinary experience, our guests have everything they need for an unforgettable holiday while being close to key events in Tivat and Kotor,” she added.

Year-round offerings

The resort offers activities and facilities year-round. Recently, they opened the Royal Hall conference room, accommodating up to 80 people, actively targeting the conference tourism sector. Additionally, they are introducing team-building packages, individual retreats, and health retreat offerings to attract guests with various interests. Their My Good Stay project is designed for digital nomads and remote workers, providing an ideal work and relaxation environment.

Currently, they are focused on opening a spa center and gym, along with developing programs for art exhibitions and musical events. This winter, they will introduce health retreat packages that combine wellness, relaxation, and a healthy lifestyle.

Unique features

According to Srdić, Royal Blue Resort & Residences stands out due to its incredible views of Tivat Bay, luxurious amenities and thoughtfully designed spaces that create a perfect balance between elegance and serenity. Their mission is to create a sanctuary where guests can fully relax, enjoy breathtaking sunsets, and receive personalized service with attention to detail. Regular art exhibitions and musical evenings enhance the cultural and artistic ambiance, setting them apart from other luxury destinations in Montenegro.

New projects

The resort’s portfolio is expanding with the upcoming Royal Collection in Kumbor and Royal Town in Kotor.

“These hotels represent the next step in our plan to expand luxury accommodation in Montenegro. Construction of Royal Collection will begin at the end of October 2024, while work on Royal Town in Kotor will start in January 2025. Royal Collection will be located on a prestigious beachfront site in Kumbor, offering an exclusive experience with sophisticated design and top-notch service. In contrast, Royal Town will be a luxury complex at the entrance to Kotor’s historic center, featuring amenities like a heated pool for guests seeking either relaxation or active leisure,” Srdić announced.

Both hotels are designed to meet the needs of modern luxury travelers, with the expectation that the Royal Collection will welcome guests in 2026 and Royal Town in 2027.

Investment and challenges

Srdić revealed that they are in talks with several renowned international brands and look forward to announcing their names after finalizing contracts. The Royal Collection and Royal Town represent significant projects for the company, involving substantial capital investments and playing a crucial role in their strategic plan for further expansion and enhancement of luxury tourism in Montenegro.

The Royal Collection is projected to be completed within 30 months, while Royal Town Kotor is expected to take 36 months from the start of construction. “Of course, challenges in the construction sector are inevitable, whether due to weather conditions or logistics. However, API, our parent company, and its subsidiaries are directly involved in these projects, ensuring that high standards of quality and excellence are maintained throughout the process. With our experienced team and careful planning, we are confident we will meet the expected deadlines and be ready to welcome our first guests upon completion,” she emphasized.

To attract guests to their two new hotels, the focus will be on providing exceptional service and personalized experiences.

“Royal Collection in Kumbor will be ideally located on the beachfront, making it perfect for guests seeking exclusivity and luxury alongside stunning sea views. Meanwhile, Royal Town in Kotor will be a luxury village offering all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, featuring a large number of facilities including a heated pool, making it unique in the region and allowing guests to fully relax and enjoy everything they need in one place,” concluded Srdić.
