The bankruptcy trustee of the former national airline Montenegro Airlines, Milan Radulović, has received three offers for the purchase of the last aircraft, a Fokker, which was listed for the lowest price of 23,900 euros. Three additional offers were made for the remaining assets.
The highest bid for the Fokker, which is not in flying condition, came from Bojan DragaÅ¡, who offered 47,100 euros. Other offers included DuÅ¡an Erić, who proposed 31,100 euros, and Podgorica’s Media International Corporation, which bid 33,500 euros.
The Croatian company ETF Airways showed interest in purchasing containers and generators, offering 27,300 euros, as well as tools for 80,500 euros. Airports of Montenegro also made an offer to purchase a Solis 90-4WD tractor for 22,500 euros.
However, there were no bids for the parts of the Fokker priced just over one million euros, or for the Embraer aircraft priced at just under 770,000 euros.
The auction rules stipulate that the selected buyer must pay the purchase price within 15 days of the decision on the buyer’s selection becoming final and sign a contract with the bankruptcy trustee. If the buyer fails to do so, they lose their status as the purchaser and the right to a deposit refund. The trustee may then proceed to sign a contract with the next highest bidder. Radulović will decide on the most favorable bidders after reviewing the offers.
In previous public auctions, the Dutch company Airline Fleet Support (AFS) purchased two Fokker 100 aircraft for 65,900 euros and 85,000 euros, respectively, while the Serbian company Hashtag Hashtag paid 145,000 euros for an aircraft and an additional 705,000 euros for four engines.
Montenegro Airlines was declared bankrupt on April 28, 2021, at the request of the Revenue and Customs Administration, after 24 years of operation. Claims amounting to 33.8 million euros were recognized, with the largest share of 17.3 million euros owed to employees. Multiple lawsuits regarding disputed claims are still ongoing in the Commercial Court.
