Montenegro’s Tourism Minister strengthens ties with French business leaders at Paris Fair

During the second day of the International Fair in Paris, Montenegro’s Minister of Tourism, Simonida Kordić, held a meeting with MEDEF, the largest network of entrepreneurs in France.

Kordić expressed her appreciation for MEDEF’s sustained interest and excellent collaboration with Montenegro. She emphasized the government’s commitment to enhancing the environment for foreign investments and advancing towards EU membership through an “economic transition.”

Tourism is the most vital sector in Montenegro, directly accounting for one-third of our GDP, with an even greater indirect contribution. Montenegro is determined to achieve EU membership as soon as possible, thereby completing our integration process and establishing a foundation for long-term development based on the standards and values of modern democracies,” Kordić stated.

The discussions revealed the potential for collaboration in exclusive tourism, which is particularly significant for Montenegro.

Kordić also highlighted the openness to cooperate with French institutions known for their excellence in hospitality. There was notable interest in projects that would enhance Montenegro’s tourism offerings. During conversations with representatives of the Paris Chamber of Commerce, she stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and sharing experiences at all levels, especially in promoting Montenegro as a year-round destination.
