Montenegro’s service sector sees robust Q3 growth, with some segments rising 77%

The service sector turnover index in the third quarter of this year increased by 18.9% compared to the second quarter, according to data from the Montenegrin Statistical Office (Monstat).

The index of service sector turnover in Q3 is also up by 9.7% compared to the same period last year.

“The turnover index in the wholesale and retail trade of motor vehicles, motorcycles and wholesale trade in the third quarter is 9.8% higher than in the same period last year, while it is up by 8.9% compared to the second quarter,” the statement said.

The turnover index in the transport and storage sector in Q3 is 9.8% higher than in the same period last year, and up by 20.3% compared to the second quarter.

“The turnover index in the accommodation and food services sector in the third quarter is 8.9% higher than in Q3 of last year, and 77.1% higher compared to the second quarter,” the report added.

The turnover index in the information and communication sector in the third quarter is up by 9.6% compared to the same period last year and increased by 12.4% compared to Q2.
