Montenegro’s GDP per capita at 51% of EU average, regional comparison shows

Montenegro’s GDP per capita stands at 51% of the EU average, according to data from EUROSTAT.

In the region, Slovenia and Croatia, both EU members, have higher GDP per capita than Montenegro.

Serbia’s GDP per capita is below 50% of the EU average, while North Macedonia follows with just over 40% of the EU’s average GDP per capita.

At the bottom are Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania, where GDP per capita is only 36% of the EU average.

When it comes to GDP, the leading countries in the eurozone are Luxembourg, Ireland and the Netherlands.

The latest EUROSTAT data shows only a minimal difference from the previous figures released in June 2024, when Montenegro’s GDP per capita was at 52% of the EU average.
