Montenegro’s Capital Budget achieves 248 million euros in 2024

According to the provided payment reports for planned projects, the execution of the Capital Budget stands at around 248 million euros, as announced by the Ministry of Finance.

This represents 105% of the revised plan, which was set at 237 million euros.

  • The result is based on the realization of a significant number of capital projects, the progress of which was faster than planned. In 2024, intensive activities were carried out on projects for the construction and reconstruction of facilities in the healthcare and education sectors, as well as in transportation infrastructure, the Ministry stated.

They described this as a “very successful” fiscal year.

  • Of the total amount, 27.35 million euros were allocated for land expropriation for the highway section from MateÅ¡evo to Andrijevica. Of this, 22.5 million euros were sourced from “economic citizenship” funds, which has paved the way for the uninterrupted start of works in 2025, following the completion of the tender procedures, the Ministry concluded.
