Montenegro to reopen Bar-Bari maritime route in 2024 with Jadrolinija

The Bar-Bari maritime route will be reinstated next year in collaboration with the renowned Croatian carrier “Jadrolinija”, announced Minister of Maritime Affairs Filip Radulović. He stated that the route will operate from the end of June to the end of September.

“We continue our efforts to expand the maritime network and improve regional connectivity. The Bar-Bari route will provide safe and efficient transport for passengers and goods. This is the fourth maritime route established by the current government, marking a significant step in the development of Montenegro’s maritime infrastructure,” said Radulović.

This year, the Budva-Dubrovnik and Bar-Ancona routes were in operation, and a new Kotor-Dubrovnik route is planned for next year.

“Each new route contributes to strengthening our economy, boosting tourism, and opening new opportunities for citizens and businesses. These initiatives confirm our commitment to positioning Montenegro as a key hub on the Adriatic maritime map,” Radulović added.

The Government of Montenegro remains dedicated to implementing projects that enhance the quality of life for citizens, open new markets, and further strengthen the country’s position in the region and beyond.
