The amount of subsidies for the purchase of M1 and N1 category electric vehicles is EUR 5,000, and hybrids EUR 2,500. The maximum amount of subsidy that the user can obtain for the purchase of electric vehicles from category L is 20 percent of the eligible costs, i.e. a maximum of 1.5 thousand EUR.

The Eco-Fund explained that a new vehicle is one that has not been in use and whose first registration after production was not done before January 1 of this year. The subject of the competition are new vehicles purchased in the territory of Montenegro from authorized car dealers, as well as new imported vehicles.

They added that the subsidies do not apply to the purchase of electric bicycles and scooters.

The Eco-Fund allocates funds for the purchase of a maximum of two vehicles per user for companies and entrepreneurs, and one for citizens.
Beneficiaries of the subsidy are obliged to keep the subsidized vehicle in their possession and use. The user may not alienate the motor vehicle that he acquired through the allocated funds within a period of two years from the first registration. Otherwise, he is obliged to return the allocated funds.

The results of the competition will be published on the website of the Eco-Fund.
