Montenegro showcases tourism potential at FITUR 2025 in Madrid

The National Tourism Organization (NTO), in collaboration with local tourism businesses, is showcasing Montenegro’s offerings at FITUR 2025, the most significant tourism fair in Spain and Latin American markets.

The fair, which takes place from Wednesday to Sunday in Madrid, is expected to draw over 150,000 professionals from the tourism industry and more than 100,000 visitors.

The Montenegrin delegation is led by the Chairman of the NTO Executive Board, Miško Rađenović, who will hold numerous meetings with tour operators and media representatives from Spain and Latin American countries during the event. Among the companies attending are Travel Shop, Lighthouse, Booking.com, Sama Travel, Last Minute, and Aviareps.

Commenting on the announcement by the Spanish tour operator Sama Travel about launching charter flights from Madrid to Montenegro, Rađenović expressed his excitement about Montenegro’s growing appeal. He stated that the recognition of the country’s potential by esteemed tour operators confirms that Montenegro is becoming an increasingly attractive and competitive destination in the international market.

“Spanish tourists are welcome to explore Montenegro, a country rich in natural beauty and cultural landmarks. Our gastronomy and wines are also a must-see part of the offer. We are pleased that tour operators like Sama Travel are including Montenegro in their plans, and I am confident that charter flights organized by them will generate a significant number of tourists and overnight stays from this strategically important market,” said Rađenović.

Representatives of tour operators already including Montenegro in their packages highlighted the destination’s exceptional appeal to their clients. Jorge Valdez from the Mexican tour operator Travel Shop mentioned that they have been selling Montenegro packages for ten years, and tourists are very satisfied.

“Montenegro attracts them with its authentic offerings, and they always return with positive impressions,” said Valdez.

On the second day of the fair, the Montenegro stand was also visited by Milica Đuričković, the chargé d’affaires at the Montenegrin Embassy in Spain.

FITUR 2025 presents an excellent opportunity to promote Montenegro and establish new partnerships, further positioning the country on the international tourism scene.

At the fair in Madrid, NTO Montenegro’s strategic partners are also showcasing their offers, including the Budvanska Rivijera hotel group, the national airline Air Montenegro, the local tourist organizations of Herceg Novi and Podgorica, as well as tourism agencies such as Gold Travel DMC, Talas M DMC, Caeli Travel, and Kompas Montenegro.
