Aleksandar Kostić, President of MK Group and Chairman of the Board of AIK Bank, announced at the Kopaonik Business Forum that his company, Agri Europe Cyprus, will complete the acquisition of Montenegro’s Hipotekarna Banka in April, as reported by Danas.
It was previously announced in December last year that Agri Europe Cyprus, owned by Kostić, would purchase 74.9% of the shares of Hipotekarna Banka. The company had agreed to acquire 7,674,285 shares of the bank in Podgorica at a price of 9.77 euros per share.
Kostić also stated that the most important task in the banking sector of MK Group at the moment is to integrate Eurobank Direktna with AIK Bank, ensuring that clients of both banks do not feel the effects of the merger. He confirmed that the integration will be completed by the end of March.
