Jugopetrol introduces solar panels at gas stations to promote sustainability

As part of a series of projects aimed at promoting a sustainable and environmentally responsible future, Jugopetrol will install a total of 12 solar panels at its gas stations over this and the following year.

By the end of this year, solar panels will be installed at four gas stations in Podgorica and one in Budva.

“In addition to the installation of solar panels at five gas stations this year, we plan to install another seven by the end of 2025, including one at the first gas station on the highway. The expected production of solar energy at these locations will reduce CO2 emissions by 192 tons annually. The value of the project is significant, given its positive impact on sustainability,” stated Vasilis Panagopoulos, the CEO of Jugopetrol.

These comprehensive efforts contribute to the overall development and well-being of communities, teams, and individuals throughout Montenegro, leading toward a sustainable, strong, and socially responsible future.

“Jugopetrol is a reliable investor in the country, having invested over 75 million euros since 2003. We are committed to expanding and enhancing our capacities, aligning with the latest technological achievements and industry standards to ensure the continuous delivery of high-quality products to the market,” emphasized the CEO of Jugopetrol.
