Slaven Radunović, Montenegro’s Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property, emphasized that infrastructure development and investment must progress in parallel to ensure long-term, sustainable growth. He made these remarks while participating in an event organized by TurkCham Montenegro, which focused on key issues in tourism, real estate and construction.
During the event, Radunović addressed questions regarding Turkish investors and the procedures for obtaining construction permits. He highlighted that three key laws are currently being adopted, which will significantly streamline processes and improve the business environment in the country.
Regarding the potential growth of the construction industry in Montenegro, Radunović explained that the parliament is in the process of adopting laws that will grant European Union (EU) citizens the same property rights as Montenegrin citizens once the country joins the EU. This move is expected to significantly stimulate the construction sector and strengthen investment flows in the country.
Another major topic discussed was transportation infrastructure, particularly the challenges on the coastal highway. Radunović pointed out that the reconstruction of the Tivat–Budva main road is currently underway, which will improve connectivity and safety in the region.
In conclusion, Radunović reaffirmed the government’s commitment to addressing existing challenges and driving forward essential infrastructure and investment development in Montenegro.
