The construction of the Lokanda hotel will create at least 60 new jobs in Cetinje, announced the Mayor of the Old Royal Capital, Nikola Đurašković, adding that it will be one of the most representative hotels in Montenegro.
“When we reopen the doors of Lokanda, it won’t just be the reopening of a hotel — it will be the return of a symbol, a way of life, a piece of the soul of our Cetinje, as proof that anything can be achieved when there is a vision, determination, and a collective will to not only preserve history but to write it again,” said Đurašković.
The Cetinje Assembly today adopted a decision granting consent to the proposal for awarding the public-private partnership contract and the public-private partnership agreement, which sets the conditions for the construction of the Lokanda hotel, an underground garage, and the reconstruction of the existing Artists’ Square.
Deputy Mayor Marko Brnović informed the assembly members that the public call for the construction of the Lokanda hotel had received a bid from Talija Company, operating under the name Casa del Mare hotel group.
This is a Montenegrin brand of boutique hotels with over a decade of experience in providing authentic and luxurious stays on the coast.
“The Casa del Mare hotel group, whose capital is exclusively based on and expanded through the foundations of hospitality and tourism, and which constantly invests in the knowledge and skills of young people, is a leading company in the region for managing small hotels with up to 50 accommodation units, giving them a unique stamp and recognition,” said Brnović.
During today’s session, the assembly also discussed and adopted several important proposals.
