Montenegro and U.S. strengthen economic and trade relations through new agreement

Montenegro and the United States have excellent economic and trade relations, stated the Minister of Economic Development, Nik Gjeloshaj, during a meeting with the U.S. Ambassador to Podgorica, Judy Rising Reinke.

Gjeloshaj emphasized that these relations have been further strengthened and deepened with the signing of the Memorandum of Economic Cooperation between the governments of Montenegro and the U.S.

“The Memorandum of Economic Cooperation solidifies our extraordinary and longstanding partnership and collaboration in the fields of economic development, infrastructure, investment, innovation, and entrepreneurship,” said Gjeloshaj.

He added that, as a result of the efficiency and success of this Memorandum, a record number of U.S. companies recently visited Montenegro as part of the American Central European Business Association (ACEBA).

Gjeloshaj expressed his satisfaction with the interest from prestigious American companies in collaborating and investing in Montenegro.

“This encourages us to continue working diligently with our American, European, and Western partners to achieve the economic prosperity and progress of Montenegro,” Gjeloshaj stated.

Reinke thanked Gjeloshaj for welcoming the American companies and emphasized the importance of continuing and expanding economic cooperation between Montenegro and the U.S.
