In September, Montenegro recorded 174,780 tourist arrivals and 662,660 overnight stays in collective accommodations, according to preliminary data from Monstat.
Of the total overnight stays, 92.6% were by foreign tourists and 7.4% by domestic visitors. In terms of overnight stays by type of tourist destination, 89.8% were in coastal areas, 6% in the capital, 2.6% in mountainous regions, and 1.6% in other locations. Collective accommodation includes hotels, guesthouses, motels, tourist resorts, camps, and hostels, but does not include private accommodations such as rented houses, rooms, or tourist apartments.
