President advocates for investments and tourism enhancement to improve life in Herceg Novi

Strategic investments in infrastructure, enhanced regional connectivity and an improved tourism offering are essential for creating an environment that attracts investments and accelerates economic activity in Herceg Novi, contributing to a better quality of life for its residents, stated Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović.

In a message on the occasion of Herceg Novi’s municipal day, Milatović highlighted that, in addition to the potential for elite tourism development, proper and sustainable management of resources at the Institute Igalo could position Herceg Novi as a key regional center for health tourism.

“It is up to decision-makers at both local and national levels to ensure conditions for the future prosperity of your community through responsible and planned engagement with these opportunities,” Milatović said.

He noted that located at the entrance to the stunning Bay of Kotor, beneath Mount Orjen, Herceg Novi possesses all the prerequisites for dynamic growth in the tourism sector, thanks to its natural beauty, rich cultural heritage, and long history.

“As we celebrate the 80th anniversary of Herceg Novi’s liberation, we remember the heroic forces of the First Bokelian, Tenth Herzegovina, and Second Dalmatian Brigades, whose joint struggle and bravery dealt a final blow to the fascist occupiers in this region,” Milatović remarked.

He added that this historical moment serves as a reminder of the glorious anti-fascist past of the city and the entire country. The sacrifices of those who laid down their lives for freedom inspire us to build a safer and better future for all citizens of Montenegro in peace.

“With the hope that you will continue the developmental path of your city with dedication and commitment, and with the assurance that you have a sincere partner in the President for all constructive initiatives, I extend my warmest congratulations to you and all residents of Herceg Novi on your municipal day,” concluded Milatović’s message to the municipality’s leadership, council members, and all citizens.
