Micro and small businesses in Montenegro have the opportunity to apply for up to €3 million in grant funding through the “Enhancing Sustainable Growth and Competitiveness of Micro and Small Enterprises” (EmBRACE) project, according to the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro (PKCG).

PKCG has notified businesses in Herceg Novi, Kotor, Tivat, Budva, Bar, Ulcinj, Cetinje, Danilovgrad, Nikšić, Podgorica, Tuzi and Zeta that the deadline to submit project proposals under EmBRACE is September 17.

The EmBRACE project offers a grant scheme to support collaboration between micro and small enterprises in the border regions of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Montenegro.

The Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovation and Investment (HAMAG-BICRO) has issued its first public call for project proposals under the Small Project Fund (SPF) as part of EmBRACE. This initiative is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and IPA III, with €8.73 million allocated to this program. Of this, €3 million is available in the first round of funding, with each project eligible for up to €200,000.

The call for proposals will remain open until September 17. Further details on deadlines and submission procedures can be found in the Guidelines for Micro and Small Enterprises as Final Recipients (GfA).

The project aims to enhance the competitiveness of micro and small businesses by supporting the development and adaptation of business models, products, services, and processes. It focuses on introducing product or process innovations, developing pilot actions and new business solutions, and strengthening cross-border business cooperation.
