Montenegro and China, connecting cultures and achieving economic cooperation

Montenegro and China have significant room for improving economic cooperation, Prime Minister Dritan Abazović said at a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Fan Kuhn.

As announced by the Government, during the inaugural visit of Ambassador Kun, Abazović assessed that the two countries inherit stable and friendly relations.

“Abazović, pointing out that although the main foreign policy goal of Montenegro is EU membership, it is certainly not an obstacle for further improvement of cooperation with China in the field of economy, trade and tourism,” the statement said.

As it was added, the interlocutors agreed that culture is certainly one of the areas of cooperation that connects the two countries, which is best evidenced by the activities within the “Confucius” Institute that concern language, but also cultural content.
