3.9 thousand tourists are currently staying in Tivat

3.9 thousand tourists are currently staying in Tivat, 14% more compared to last year, according to the data of the Tivat Tourist Organization (TO). That is 19% more compared to the same period in 2019.

The director of TO Tivat, Nina Lakičević, said that, if we look at the data for September, they show that the number of tourists this year is 13% higher compared to last year, that is, 14% compared to 2019.

– This year we had the most visitors from Serbia, while in this period of the postseason we have the most guests from Russia, followed by Great Britain, Ukraine and Germany. What the trend shows is that the structure of guests and the number of visits has developed in such a way that Tivat is no longer a city that will focus primarily on July and August, but that we are moving towards being a year-round tourist destination – Lakičević said.

In November, Tivat celebrates the Day of the Municipality and, accordingly, TO together with the Center for Culture, competent secretariats and other cultural institutions, designs a program and contents for domestic visitors, as well as tourists.

– In the past period, we worked on the valorization of the hinterland of the municipality and emphasized rural tourism. During November, in cooperation with TO Herceg Novi, we will have the promotion of an audio guide characteristic of life in Luštica, where we will invite the media and tour operators and make a circular tour to present the villages of Luštica. Our goal is for everyone to be sufficiently informed about this segment of the offer so that we can also give our guests the best possible information – said Lakičević.

She added that on November 4th, a walking tour is planned for all those interested, primarily the people of Tivat, and that in this way they want to promote the offer of Luštica, i.e. its villages.

Lakičević also pointed out that she is currently preparing and working on the promotion of the New Year’s program and New Year’s Eve in Tivat.

– We are preparing a rich New Year’s program that will last a month. We will start in mid-December until mid-January, and New Year’s houses will be placed on the city’s waterfront – announced Lakičević.
